About The Event
The class will progress through the fundamental theory and movement-breathing of qigong. About a dozen different movements will be taught and practiced during the duration of the class. All movements will involve the standing position, no mats are needed. Comfortable apparel and shoes are recommended. Class limited to 24 participants.
About Jack Kayser:
Jack Kayser is certified as a Spring Forest Qigong group leader. He has taught qigong at the Fayetteville Public Library [FPL], Ozarks Research Institute, Pachika Meditations and currently on Wednesday evenings at the Art Lab Theater. He also regularly helps lead the FPL Monday night yoga class.
Jack is a retired engineer, with a PhD from the University of Michigan. He has taught in the US and Australia, practiced in several states in the area of structures, hydraulics/hydrology and instrumentation, and conducted research across multiple disciplines. His interest is now in mind-body practices, such as qigong, yoga and meditation.
- This workshop takes place outside at Wilson Springs Preserve. It is recommended that you wear hiking boots or some other sturdy footwear. Bug spray is also recommended.
- This workshop is weather dependent. If the workshop is rescheduled or canceled, you will be notified via the email address you provide during registration.
- Parking for access to Wilson Springs Preserve is generously allowed by Sam's Club, located at 3081 AR-112 in Fayetteville. You may park on the south side of the lot (facing the trees) and look for the kiosk entrance.
