About the event
Join this hike through Wilson Springs Preserve as we look for frogs, salamanders, snakes, turtles, and other interesting wetland creatures! Follow along as Sim Barrow, Environmental Education Coordnator for Fayetteville Public Schools, and Marson Nance, Director of Land Protection and Stewarship, keep eyes (and ears!) open for different species. This family-friendly hike is a great opportunity to explore the preserve in search of these and other fascinating creatures.
The hike is free, however registration is required. Space is limited, participants must wear masks, and groups will be socially distanced. Wear hiking boots, waders or sturdy footwear. Children under 10 are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult.
Meet at the Wilson Springs Preserve trail-head, located on the south side of the Sam's Club parking lot in Fayetteville. Â
