Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG)

In 2024 Northwest Arkansas entities were awarded $36 million in funding through the Environmental Protection Agency for a series of projects that will reduce carbon emissions and enhance sustainability in the region.

NWALT received funding for forest restoration projects on its properties in Springtown as well as to place conservation easements on municipal properties critical for habitat protection, carbon storage and sequestration, and areas along bike trail infrastructure.
