Lukens-Bachmann Property

County: Washington

Size: 128 Acres

Date Conserved: 2014, 2019

The Luckens-Bachman property includes approximately 4,000 feet of the West Fork of the White River, a tributary to Beaver Lake. Property owner Janet Bachman is a long-time vendor at the Fayetteville Farmer’s Market and operates a large-scale organic garden on the property. The property includes forest and riverine wetlands and is important for protecting our region’s drinking water. The streambanks along the river provide a movement corridor for wildlife.

In 2019, the couple chose to conserve an additional 97 acres, bringing the total to 128 acres.
