On March 29th, the City of Lincoln joined the cities of Fayetteville, Greenland, and Springdale in the cohort of local municipalities who have chosen to protect valuable open spaces through conservation easements with the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust. The 382-acre conservation easement around Lincoln Lake will forever protect the city’s property for hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, boating, and fishing. Rare plants and animals and regionally unique habitats are also protected in the conservation easement.
“We are truly thankful to Mayor Doug Hutchens and the Lincoln City Council for their foresight in protecting this incredible land and lake for future generations of Arkansans,” said NWALT CEO, Grady Spann.
