Response to COVID-19

Dear Northwest Arkansas community,

These are certainly trying times before us. As we are all learning how to cope with an unprecedented new normal, the NWA Land Trust team remains committed to fulfilling our mission to protect quality of life in our region through the permanent protection of land.

In response to the spread of COVID-19, we are postponing all scheduled events through the remainder of March and April, including our annual Land for Life gala on May 1. Our offices and the Kessler Outdoor Classroom and Nature Center will be closed to the public during this time as well. We are heeding all recommendations from the governor and public health experts, and we remain hopeful that we will be able to reschedule events throughout the summer.

In the meantime, this is a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy all that nature provides! Hiking, biking, and wildlife watching are low contact, socially distant activities we can all enjoy. Spring is upon us, and it’s a beautiful reminder of the resilience of life.

Our staff will continue the important work of saving land that protects our water quality, local food and farms, wildlife, and places to connect with nature. Now more than ever, your financial support is vital to our ongoing efforts. In the absence of our largest fundraising event, we are turning to our donors for your help in maintaining our operations during this time. Please consider donating today to help save Land for Life!

If you have any questions or concerns, please call at 479-966-4666 or email info@nwalandtrust.org.

Sending healthy thoughts to you and your loved ones,

The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust team
