About the event

 Join us on Saturday, February 1 at 1:00pm for our annual Kessler Mountain Geology Walk! Emeritus Professor of Geosciences Walt Manger and NWALT Director of Land Protection Marson Nance will lead an easy and informative hike through the private Rock City Trail on Kessler Mountain in Fayetteville. Dr. Manger will teach about the geologic history of Kessler Mountain, and Marson Nance will share information about local birds and plants found along the way. Warm beverages and snacks will be served following the hike.  Comfortable closed-toe shoes or boots are recommended. 

Space for this popular event is limited and will fill quickly.  Please note the program & hike are not suitable for children under the age of 13.
