About the event

Join us on Saturday, January 26 at 1pm for our annual Kessler Mountain Geology Walk! Emeritus Professor of Geosciences Walt Manger and local bird expert Joe Neal will lead an easy and informative hike through the private Rock City Trail on Kessler Mountain in Fayetteville. Dr. Manger will teach about the geologic history of Kessler Mountain, and Joe Neal will share information about local birds and plants found along the way. Warm beverages and snacks will be served following the hike. Comfortable closed-toe shoes or boots are recommended.

Space for this popular event is limited. This hike is free to members of the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust (click here to become a member!) Members who would like to attend should email Lauren Embree at lembree@nwalandtrust.org to reserve your spot.

Non-members can reserve their spot for a small $5 fee. Please note the program & hike are not suitable for children under the age of 13.
